This is Imam Fakhr al-din al-job Razis (died 606 Hijrah). Mafatih al-Ghayb is his real name but he is popularly known as Tafseer Ul Kabeer Pdf . Imam Razi is an imam of Islamic theology so his Tafseer placed great emphasis on logical and academic debates and the refutation of false sects.

Imam Razi likely wrote down his Tafsir as far as Surah al-Fath was concerned. From there onwards he could not finish. Thus Qadi Shihab al-Din ibn Khalil al-Khawli al-Dimashqi (died 639 Hijrah) or Shaykh Najm al-Din Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Qamuli al-Dimashqi (died 639 Hijrah) completed the remaining part of the Tafsir from Surah al-Fatiha to the end (passed 777 Hijrah). (Page 477 of Kashaf al-Zunun v. 2) Following the dictates of his time Imam Razi has particularly emphasized academic debates and the refutation of false sects.

While doing so his discussions have become too long in many places so some people have made the following statement on his Tafsir: There is everything in this (book) except the Tafsir.

But for Tafsir Kabir this statement is a horrible injustice. It has already been mentioned above that this is the reality namely that this Tafsir enjoys a high rating regarding the resolution of the Quran meanings.

But there are places where he explained the Qurans verses when moving away from the ummahs agreement but those places are pretty thinly spread out in this book.
