Askari was born on 14 May 1914 in Samarra Iraq. His ancestors were among the traditionalists in the jurisprudence of their period.

Via his ancestors guidance in the city of Saveh Allamah Askari said several Sunni people converted to Shiism. When he was a child he lost his father and his maternal grandmother raised him. Allama Askari concentrated mainly on historical research.

He has published over 50 novels. Two of them Abdullah Ibn Saba and 150 (So-Called) Companions shocked the researchers and the public requiring centuries of further studies on the subjects.


Consequently numerous schools of thought founded by Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari and several influential historians have been dismissed. Askari argued that there was no basis in fact for these subject matters which many had believed were indisputable truths and facts.

In several fields especially social affairs he continued his activities and founded several schools and clinics. He was however concerned with the unity of the Islamic Ummah and the links between the Muslim divisions.
