Sheikh Abdul-Haq Muhaddith Dehlawi was an Islamic scholar, or Al-Muhaddith Shaykh Abdul-Haqq Dehlavi. He was born in Delhi in 1551 (958 AH), hence the Dehlavi suffix on his name. He went on to become a noted Arabic and Persian writer who gained favour from both Mughal emperors, Jahangir (r.1605-28) and Shah Jahan (r.1628-58), and became a revered Islamic scholar over time. His ancestors were natives of Bokhara, and they were later ennobled and attached to the Mughal Royal Court in Delhi while visiting Delhi. His dad made a name for himself in court, too. He made the pilgrimage to Mecca in 996 AH, 1587 CE, where he remained for the next two years to study the prophetic traditions (Hadith) and Sufism under different noted scholars. He taught for half a century upon his return to Delhi and wrote more than 100 works (he wrote more than 1000 books in total), including a history of Medina, a biography of Muhammad, and a work on the lives of saints. He died in 1642 (1052 AH) in Delhi, and has more than 40 works to his credit. The book Madarij Un Nabuwat Pdf is about the Prophet of Islams history of life.
