Description
An Arab or Kurdish historian and biographer who wrote in Arabic and was from the Ibn Athir tribe, Abu al-Hassan Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Muhammad ash-Shaybani, better known as Ali Izz al-Din Ibn al-Athir al-Jazari (1233-1160). He was born in Jazirat Ibn Umar of the Abbasid Caliphate, according to the 1911 Edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica. In modern-day Turkey, the city is located. He wrote a very significant book called al nahaia in all of his work.
